Most of us were taught a language subject in school, it could be a local or international language different from what you currently understand. Find a way to keep it fresh.
Listen to (at least some) of your parent’s advice
Now and then, the African parent appears overbearing especially with their know-it-all attitude but the truth is your parents have a wealth of experience you can’t appreciate now. Yes, we hate to admit it but they have the wisdom to share no matter how old school they seem to you.

Take time off
No one looks back from their deathbed and wishes they spent more time at the office, but they do wish they spent more time with family, friends, and hobbies.
Forgive and let go
Like the lyrics from the popular Disney animated film, “Frozen”, “just let it go” because in the future you are going to relieve your youth and realise there was no point holding onto or relieving anger over and over.

Take a big risk
When you are old, you are likely to judge how well you lived when you reflect on how many times you took a leap of faith. Even if it is just once, come out of your comfort zone and do something different and it doesn’t matter if you fall face flat on the ground, at least you tried.
